Short description
Integrated water resourcse management is one of the key solutions for security and sustainable development of water resources. This short course aims to introduce Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) with emphasis on risk and uncertainty, decision making, and legal framework in water resources management.

Target group
The course might benefit persons who e.g. work or study water and environmental engineering, civil engineering, geology, or for decision- and policy-makers.

About the lecturer

The course is given by professor Mohammad Karamouz from New York University/ Polytechnic Institute. He is the Director of Environmental Engineering Program of the Department of Civil Engineering at Polytechnic Institute of New York University. NYU-Poly is a well know University founded in 1854, and USAs second-oldest private engineering school.

Recently (in 2013) prof. Karamouz was nominated by the ASCE medal Service to the Profession Award. The prize acknowledges his work with ASCE's Environmental and Water Resources Institute (EWRI), his innovative research, textbooks, editorial contributions to the ASCE journal and leadership.
